Season Three

October to December 2020 - 12 Episodes

In 1970 John Lennon released his debut solo album Plastic Ono Band, a unique, cathartic work of art. We discuss it here. (And we discuss Yoko’s Plastic Ono Band here)

Revolution, the Beatles song, exists in many forms. Born of 1968, written in India, and presenting a new type of John Lennon writing…it should have been easy to record, right?

Once Revolution 1 was recorded, Revolution 9 got hived off for a sound collage before John has another pass at the song, vying for attention with Hey Jude.

Our third and final look back at THE Beatles Anthology 25 years on. What happened next after the show hit the tv and the CDs hit the shops. Was it an ending, or a beginning?

Levin Godley has had an amazing career doing amazing things. From 10cc to directing a video for the Beatles to… appearing on Nothing Is Real.

McCartney’s debut album still has the gift to delight and perplex. At what point did Paul realise he was making an album? Why not put out a single? Why the rush? What Elaine Paige doing here?

Ringo has been in a load of films. You could watch them all, or you could just listen to this podcast.

On the 50th anniversary of George Harrison’s solo debut album, we look at it over three part. In this first episode we like at the road from being Beatle George to getting to All Things Must Pass.

Part Two: Ahead of the release of All Things Must Pass, George release the single My Sweet Lord. After it was a massive hit, it became a massive writ, as George fought off the charges of plagiarism.

Part three: We look in depth at the All Things Must Pass album itself, track-by-track.

During the 1970s the Beatles remained visible as solo acts. Here we look at what they were up to every Christmas - from 1970 to 1973

In this second part we continue looking at the Beatle goings on from Christmas 1974 to 1979.
